Tours In And Around Johannesburg And PretoriaTwin City Tour(Duration is approximately 6 hours) This tour includes both the cities of Johannesburg and Pretoria in one day calling at the Top of Africa view point, Africa Museum, Muti Shop, Diagonal Street, Voortrekker Monument, the Union Buildings and Church Square. COST PER PERSON R 450.00 Half day tour of Johannesburg and Gold Reef City (Duration is approximately 4 hours) A brief tour of the city of Johannesburg visiting all its attractions including historical exhibits. The Gold Reef City mine, entertainment centre and the shops with a specialist guide to provide you with a fascinating insight, not only into what is on view in the city but to South Africa's history and development. (Includes gold pouring & a trip down a real mine) En route back to the hotels we travel through Johannesburg city for a short tour of the actual city. COST PER PERSON R 425.00 Full day tour of Pretoria (Duration is approximately 8 hours) Pretoria City (Voortrekker Monument), Cullinan Diamond Mine & Sammy Marks House (Lunch) Travel to Pretoria, the administrative Capital of South Africa - also know as the Jacaranda City - stopping at theVoortrekker Monument, Church Square, Sammy Marks Museum. Onto the Cullinan Diamond Mine for a Guided tour of the mine where the worlds largest diamond was found. Arriving back at our hotels in the late afternoon. Lunch included. COST PER PERSON R 575.00 Full day Soweto & Lesedi African Culture tour (Duration is approximately 8 hours) Visiting Soweto Township including Hector Peterson Memorial and Nelson Mandela's original house. En route, we view Regina Mundi Cathedral and the houses of Winnie Mandela and Bishop Tutu. Time allowing, we get to mix with the locals in Klip Town (GETTO) where the ANC freedom charter was originated. On to Lesedi Cultural Village where you experience the different African tribes in their natural and traditional environment. After the singing and dancing we settle down to a great lunch where you can mix with the local tribes' people. COST PER PERSON R 575.00 Pilansberg Nature reserve and Sun City & Lost City Tour (Duration is approximately 8 hours) This tour is a full day tour which takes you to abig five game viewing area. Once here you havenumerous options to stay over in the reserve or SunCity. If overnighting in the reserve or Sun City youhave opportunities to play the world famous golfcourse see the valley of the waves and even win a Million Rand! COST PER PERSON R 595.00 Welcome Tour (Duration approximately 8 hours) This tour combines Soweto, Johannesburg and Pretoria. Once you have been on this tour it will enable you to have a better understanding of the history and culture of ALL South Africans. It is a great way to start or end a trip to South Africa. For those preferring to ride the Cable Car to the top of Table Mountain, the Tour will leave out Signal Hill and stop at the Lower Cable Station. Our route takes us into the vibrant metropole again, passing many historical buildings. Stop at the Bo-Kaap to visit the cultural history museum. From here we walk, visiting The Company Gardens, planted by the Dutch to supply ships with fruit and vegetables and today a nice parkland. Our circular hike takes us along Adderley Street and Greenmarket Square back to the Malay Quarter and our tour vehicle. We proceed to The Castle of Good Hope, oldest structure in South Africa. Visit one of the museums it houses or climb up to one of the 5 bastions. Our last stop is at the V&A Waterfront for a guided tour.

Our first stop Rhodes Memorial honouring Cecil John Rhodes, politician and Diamond Magnet who left the land on the south eastern side of Table Mountain to the Nation. Followed by a visit to the National Botanical Gardens at Kirstenbosch. Enjoy the rolling lawns and trees, visit the Conservatory with its vast collection of succulents or walk up to one of the springs of the Liesbeek River, see ericas, cycads and other plants belonging to the Fynbos as well as South Africas National Flower the King Protea. From Kirstenbosch we follow the winding road through the forested areas of Upper Constantia, over the Constantia Nek Pass into the Hout Bay valley, once famous for hardwoods such as yellowwood, used by the early Dutch to build ships and houses. Our route takes us along the coastal road via Champs Bay, passing some of Cape Towns upmarket suburbs to reach the V&A Waterfront. Guided Tour of the Waterfront. Last station for the day is Signal Hill - enjoy wonderful views of Atlantic Ocean, the suburbs of Greenpoint and Seapoint, the CBD and the City Bowl area with Devils Peak, Table Mountain and Signal Hill as guardians.

Following the Atlantic coastal road south, stop at Maidens Cove view of Camps Bay and the Twelfe Apostels. Proceed to Hout Bay Harbour where you can join an optional boat trip to one of the Cape Seal Colonies. Leaving Hout Bay via Chapmans Peak Drive - one of the most spectacular roads on the planet. Built by convict labourers and perfectly engineered between layers of granite and sandstone. Passing Noordhoek, Kommetjie and Scarborough we reach the entrance to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve covering the South-Western tip of the African Continent. Note: As of time of writing, Chapman's Peak Drive is for the mostpart closed. It is scheduled for reopening in November 2003. Photostop at the Cape of Good Hope before proceeding to Cape Point. Walk up to the old lighthouse or take the the funicular. We leave the Nationalpark following the False Bay Coastal Road to Boulders with its famous Penguin Colony. In Simonstown we stop at Jubilee Square in the very heart of this Navy town. Our last station for the day is Groot Constantia Wine Estate. Visit the old Manor House Museum and the old Wine cellar with their interesting collection of ancient furniture, paintings, china and items used for wine production and wine enjoyment.

Visit to the Wineregions around Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. First stop is Stellenbosch with its historical town centre and whitewashed buildings clearly showing the Dutch and English periods of rule in the Cape. Circular tour of the town and photo stop at the old town common The Braak. We will be visiting one of the important wine cellars in the area cellar tour and winetasting. A scenic drive takes us over Heelshoogte Pass into the Groot Drakenstein Valley to a typical Cape Dutch Homestead at Boschendal - nestled between granite mountain peaks, beautiful gardens and fruit plantations. Our route takes us deeper into the valley to Franschhoek with its Huguenot Memorial Monument and Museum. The village was founded by the first Huguenots arriving from France in 1688 bringing with them a sound knowledge of viticulture to the Cape. On our way back to Cape Town we stop at a wine and cheese farm to sample their products.

Leaving Cape Town along the Atlantic coast to the north, passing Milnerton, Tableview and Melkbosstrand then further inland to Mamre. Visit the old church of this early Moravian Mission Station, situated inmids and idyllic and tranquil country setting. The road takes us over rolling hills and farmlands via Darling (centre for dairy production) into Western direction to the Southern entrance of the West Coast National Park. During the Flower season the Postberg section of the park with its abundance of wild flower displays is open. At the northern end of the reserve we reach the seaside town of Langebaan. Further on we pass the steel works outside Saldanha and have a short stop at the village and/or harbour before our route takes us south again towards Malmesbury and on to the Westcoast Ostrich Show Ranch. Guided tour to see and learn about the biggest birds on earth.

Travelling east of Cape Town via the Cape Flats to reach the beautiful farm of Vergelegen in midst a fertile valley at Somerset West. Taste some wine, stroll through the herb and rose gardens, visit the stately Cape Dutch Manor House or the giant Camphor Trees or simply enjoy the generously landscaped gardens before our route takes us via the seaside village of Gordons Bay and along the Indian Ocean passing Bettys Bay and Kleinmond to Hermanus. This place along Walker Bay is known for the best land based whale watching in the world and in particular the old harbour where whales can be seen close to the shore from September through to November. Visit the old harbour museum and have a walk through this pretty town with its many shops and restaurants catering for all kinds of tastes. We return to Cape Town over the Houhoek pass, the apple producing areas of Elgin and Grabouw up Sir Lowrys Pass (weather permitting photo stop for a spectacular view over the False Bay Coast).

The Tour option reaching further inland and into mountainous areas. We are leaving Cape Town in North-Eastern direction, passing the town of Paarl and climbing the road over Du Toits Kloof Pass towards Worcester, visit to the biggest Brandy Cellars in the world for a guided tour. Our next stop is the Kleinplasie Living Open Air Museum. Performances of daily changing activities such as candle production, melktert baking on open fires, iron forging, witblitz destinlation and more. Taste some locally produced schnapps witblitz. Our way takes us further upstream the Breede River Valley to reach Tulbagh. Visit church street with its row of protected Cape Dutch Houses. Beautifully restored after the terrible earthquake of 1969. We return to the Mother City over Bains Kloof Pass (national Monument) and Wellington with its schooling institutions, leather as well as dried fruit industries.

A very nice circular tour especially recommended on week-ends when most of the wine-estates are closed for the public. Sit back comfortably and enjoy being driven through fertile farmlands and overimpressing mountain passes to reach the picturesque village of Franschhoek in the Groot Drankenstein valley around midday. Promenade along the pretty main road, dotted with many little interesting shops and bistros. Franschhoek was founded by the French Huguenots in 1688. We end the day programme with a wine tasting in one of the few wineries which are open on a weekend.Please note that this tour can be done any day of the week and is not limited to week-ends only.
